Date Night: AR/CQB

Looking for a unique, fun, hands-on date for you and your partner? Look no further than the Continuum of Force Date Night series at Defensive Action Center.

Tonight's date night will cover basic manipulation of the AR-15 carbine and an introduction to Close Quarters Battle (CQB) techniques and methods. Learn to safely manipulate an AR-15 rifle including reloading, unloading and working the fire controls. Once you are familiar with the workings of the AR, we will move to the shoot house to learn the basics of 2 person CQB tactics including threshold assessments and room entries. The night will finish on a live run through the shoot house with UTM equipped AR15s against your choice of paper targets or live role players that will shoot back.

UTM conversions are available for most AR15's, so you are encouraged to bring your personal rifle(s) and we will convert it (non-permanently) to shoot UTM ammunition for the night, we also have rifles available to use.

Dinner is provided.

CFC NVG User Course

Continuum of Force Concepts LLC, is proud to present our “LE/Mil Restricted CFC Night Vision User Course”. This course will enable Law Enforcement tactical team personnel to achieve basic proficiency in the employment of image intensification devices (night vision) and ancillary equipment. Developing an enhanced nighttime capability will ultimately increase officer survivability and mitigate risk throughout the full spectrum of tactical Law Enforcement operations. This intensive 40 hour course is Idaho POST Certified and instructed by currently certified Military and LE Special Operations instructors. Course is limited to 10 total students, current Military or LE credentials required.

Primary Instructor: Sean Lopez (US Army Special Forces)

Sean Lopez served for 14 years in the US Army, including 11 years in 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), in multiple training and operational billets to include Senior Engineer Sergeant and Sniper Instructor. He was the lead nighttime long-range marksmanship instructor for 5th Special Forces Group’s Level II Special Forces Sniper Course (SFSC). Over the course of six deployments to the Middle East, he conducted combat and advisory missions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria. After separating from the Army in 2018, Sean began providing training and security consulting to major corporations, vetted private citizens, and US government agencies.

Assistant Instructor: Harvey Ballman (Law Enforcement Officer, USMC)

Harvey served over 9 years in the United States Marine Corps as a Fire Support Man and fire support team leader. He has also served the past 8 years as a Sheriff’s Deputy in a major Inland Northwest agency. Harvey holds several instructor certifications including, high liability Firearms instructor and Active shooter instructor through Idaho POST. Harvey currently serves as a patrol deputy with ancillary duties on his agency’s SWAT team and Firearms Training Unit. Harvey is the owner of Continuum of Force Concepts, a full-service firearms, first aid and tactical training company providing training to LE, Military and responsibly armed citizens.

This Course is designed for experienced shooters looking to push themselves and improve on their skills while incorporating advanced tactics and techniques. This course is designed to help you master the fundamentals through stress inoculation in real world scenarios using both live fire on the range, and non-lethal training ammunition (UTM) against live opponents during scenarios. One day will be spent on the range and the other day will be spent on scenarios with live role players using non-lethal training ammunition (UTM)  (16 Hours)

 

Prerequisite: CFC Carbine Course; OR other approved intermediate carbine course/experience; OR Military / LE experience (within last 10 years).

CFC is proud to present the Women's Self Defense Series at the Defensive Action Center. This fun, interactive four part training program will focus on developing a warrior mindset, firearms safety / introduction to concealed carry techniques, weapon manipulation / employment and realistic self-defense scenarios utilizing UTM Non-Lethal Training Ammunition. 

This course is perfect for any woman, age 14 or older and will help develop critical self defense skills. This four part training series will be conducted November 8th- December 6th. Each session will include two hours of hands on training by currently certified law enforcement or military instructors with years of experience in their respective fields. $150.00 for all four sessions or $50 per individual session.

Part 4: Self Defense Scenarios.

The fourth and final session in this series will focus on employment of the skills learned throughout the month in realistic women's self defense training scenarios. Each participant will get to experience at least 2 scenarios that allow them to work through various issues, including pre-attack indicators and situational awareness, simulated violent encounters and post engagement priorities. These scenarios will be safely conducted using experienced role players and will be designed to ensure a positive learning experience and outcome.

UTM non lethal training ammunition is a completely safe alternative to live fire. It also has a lighter recoil and less noise than live ammunition when fired. Perfect for new shooters or those who haven't had positive experiences shooting in the past.

This fun, interactive course will focus on developing the warrior mindset necessary to prevail during critical incidents, employment of a concealed firearm during realistic scenario based training and emergency medical treatment of combat/critical incident related trauma with an emphasis on hemorrhage control and care under fire. 


Not only is this course perfect for anyone who carries a firearm for self-defense, it also applies to anyone who wants to take a proactive step towards being a solution during a critical incident, not just a victim. You do not have to carry a firearm to get something out of this course. This class is eight hours of hands on training by currently certified law enforcement or military instructors with years of experience in their respective fields. $200.00 per person

Looking for a unique, fun, hands-on date for you and your partner? Look no further than the Continuum of Force Date Night series at Defensive Action Center.

Tonight's date night will cover basic manipulation of the pistol and an introduction to Close Quarters Battle (CQB) techniques and methods. Learn to safely manipulate a pistol including reloading, unloading, and malfunction clearances. Once you are familiar with the workings of the pistol, we will move to the shoot house to learn the basics of 2 person CQB tactics including threshold assessments and room entries. The night will finish on a live run through the shoot house with UTM equipped Glock/M&P pistols against your choice of paper targets or live role players that will shoot back.

Wounded Shooter Clinic: Pistol

This clinic from Continuum of Force covers the grim reality many people overlook; you may end up shot in a gunfight. Do you have the skills, knowledge and mindset to keep fighting and win, regardless of your condition?

This 3 hour clinic will cover one-handed pistol manipulation techniques as well as tourniquet application. You will learn how to shoot, reload and clear malfunctions one handed. We will cover the techniques and put you through realistic scenarios where you have to deal with simulated injuries, including simulated blood, against live opponents.

Training tourniquets, UTM pistols and ammunition, holsters and all protective equipment provided. If you have a Glock or M&P holster you would like to use, bring it. The fake blood does not stain clothes, but wear clothes you wouldn't mind getting stained just in case.

The average person spends a large amount of time in or around their vehicle. Join us at the Defensive Action Center while we run realistic vehicle defense scenarios utilizing UTM Non-Lethal Training Ammunition against live role players. Sunday May 5th 8-5pm come learn the fundamentals of home defense. This course will cover legal considerations and use of force decisions in the home, home defense weapon selection and considerations, an introduction to low light techniques and basic CQB techniques. The shoothouse will be setup with special walls to demonstrate round pass through and the consequences of misses in a home environment. UTM pistols and rifles available as well as conversions for personal AR15, this is an excellent opportunity to vet your HD rifle in a realistic environment, including low and no light.

Part 4: Self Defense Scenarios.

The fourth and final session in this series will focus on employment of the skills learned throughout the month in realistic women's self defense training scenarios. Each participant will get to experience at least 2 scenarios that allow them to work through various issues, including pre-attack indicators and situational awareness, simulated violent encounters and post engagement priorities. These scenarios will be safely conducted using experienced role players and will be designed to ensure a positive learning experience and outcome.

Part 3: Firearms Manipulation.

The third session will focus on firearms manipulation. Students are encouraged to bring the firearm they intend to carry or are interested in carrying, we will also have a limited amount of demo firearms available to try out. We will discuss how to safely and effectively manipulate your firearm so you are familiar with it in the unlikely event it needed to be used in a self defense situation. We will also shoot UTM equipped Glock Pistols and work through various drills including, loading, unloading, reloading and malfunction clearance drills. UTM non lethal training ammunition is a completely safe alternative to live fire. It also has a lighter recoil and less noise than live ammunition when fired. Perfect for new shooters or those who haven't had positive experiences shooting in the past.
